This painting portrays a dock on a lake that Ashley’s family has visited for years. Most of the painting was done in acrylic paint, but the sky and part of the water were done in oil paint because it was easier to blend the colors in oil paint on such a large canvas. Ashley was given a photograph to go by, but she emphasized the colors of the sunset and the reflections in the water. This was completed on a 20″ x 40″ canvas July 30, 2016.
