This is a painting of one of Ashley’s childhood cats, but it was painted in a color scheme of different blues and explored an unnatural color palette that still portrays the cat realistically. In a way, this painting takes a slightly abstract twist. This painting was called “Blue Rudi,” after the name of this cat. This work was completed with acrylic paint on an 8″ x 10″ canvas on July 7, 2017.
