tensio light
For my final project at Otis College of Art and Design while earning my Master’s degree, I created a brand identity and product named “Tensio Light.” This light was designed and built to display tension, hence the name. All digital designs included in the project were done with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and the physical product itself was constructed with wood & additional materials.
This project required me to really think about the branding of this product as if it were ready to be sold. Not only did I think of packaging, but I explored many ideas with posters, logos, campaign taglines, and I built the actual product itself. I discovered a way to open the lamp, similar to how an umbrella opens, while also displaying tensions in the strings and including a color changing light that could be turned on. The project became a bit of an architectural and scientific one, but it was one I really enjoyed.
